we have already started the Show & Tell this week. However, since yesterday, I have noticed that most of the boys are still not prepared for their Show and Tell. Hence, I have given them a second try. Therefore, I have re-shuffled the list of boys who are taking their Show & Tell each day.

Change of date for Spelling (10)

Dear Parents,

Due to the Review Test 4 last week, and the boys’ Show and Tell this week, we were not able to finish Chapter 10 in time for the Spelling. Hence, the Spelling would be postponed to next Tuesday (26th August 2008 ). Thank you.

Review Test 4

Dear Parents,

a copy of the Review Test 4 TOS as shown above has been given out to the boys lest week. The test will be from the 1A textbook page 99 to 105 and 1B textbook page 1 to 27. It will be held on the 13th August 2008, and it is a 45 minutes paper.

Ziploc Bag

Dear Parents,

I have just given each of the boys a ziploc bag on Friday. It contained 6 different Chinese words, and a note to suggest some ways parents can do with the 6 words. Please try to stick these 6 words on the walls of your son’s room, and let them see these words repeatedly everyday to help them strengthen their words recognition.

Subsequently, every Friday, I will be giving them new sets of words for them to stick on their walls. On my part, I will test them every Monday during lesson on the words which I have given them. Hopefully by doing so, your son can improve on his vocabulary.

However, I need your help in helping me revise those words with them at home. As we only can do 1 hour or so of Chinese in school everyday, many boys have difficulties recognizing the large number of words from their textbooks. Hence, they would need alot of support at home to help them improve.

Also, please continue to make use of the MOE website, http://www1.moe.edu.sg/dir/cl/Pri/index1.html. The boys are very attracted to the animation in the website. You can show them this website and let them read together with the animation as often as possible.

Cancellation of Remedial

Dear Parents,

Due to the Primary 6 Prelim Oral on Monday (28th July 2008), there will not be any remedial on that day. The boys need not stay back in the afternoon.

I would like to seek your help in reminding them not to stay back after school on Monday.
